Partner programme terms
Version …
1. About these terms
These terms apply to anyone taking part in the ExPat Help partner programme ("you"). ExPat Help is run by a sole trader in England ("we", "us"). The terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
By applying you agree to these terms. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when.
2. How you earn
You earn commission when someone you refer, using your link or your code, becomes a paying ExPat Help subscriber. The rate, the length of time commission is paid and the referral window are shown on the programme page and in your dashboard. We may override the rate for individual partners by agreement.
Commission is worked out on what the customer paid, excluding VAT. Free accounts and trials earn nothing until a real payment is made.
If a visitor clicks links from more than one partner, the most recent click counts.
You cannot earn commission on your own account, or on accounts belonging to you or your household.
3. Holding period, refunds and clawback
New commission is held for a period (shown in your dashboard) before it is approved, to cover refunds and chargebacks.
If a payment is refunded or disputed, the related commission is cancelled. If it has already been paid to you, we deduct it from your next payout.
4. Payouts
We pay approved commission once it reaches the minimum payout amount, by the method you choose in your dashboard. You're responsible for your own tax. If you're VAT registered, tell us your VAT number.
Each payout comes with a statement you can download.
5. What you may and may not do
You must say clearly that you earn commission whenever you recommend ExPat Help, as UK advertising rules (the CAP Code and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading rules) require. For example: "I earn commission if you subscribe through my link."
You must not bid on "ExPat Help" or similar words in paid search adverts, or use our name in domain names or social media account names.
You must not send spam, unsolicited messages, or post in groups where promotion isn't allowed.
You must not use fake urgency, invented discounts or misleading claims.
You must not pretend to be ExPat Help, or suggest you work for us.
You must not promise legal, tax or immigration outcomes. ExPat Help gives general information, not advice.
You must not offer cash back, or pay people to sign up.
6. Personal data
You will never see personal details of the people you refer — only anonymised counts and amounts. We handle your own details under our privacy policy, and keep your payout details encrypted.
7. Suspension and ending the programme
We may suspend or remove any partner who breaks these terms, and cancel commission earned through breaking them.
We may change these terms, the commission rate or close the programme with reasonable notice. Commission already approved will still be paid.
You can leave at any time by emailing info@expathelp.co.uk.
